Phase 1: Discovery & Site Evaluation

Upon receiving your inquiry, our team will reach out within 48 hours to discuss your property, your ideas for your space, and we will setup a time to meet with you for the initial site visit.
At the first meeting we begin with a professional on-site evaluation to determine your property's 2026 zoning eligibility and utility connection requirements. Our experts analyze setbacks, soil grading, and consult with you to determine the best placement for your unit to maximize both privacy and backyard functionality. From there we provide you with a Comprehensive Pricing Proposal, outlining the project investment and timeline.

Phase 2: Sign Proposal and Begin Permitting & Design Approvals

The next step of the process is signing the proposal and beginning the paperwork. While we keep you informed every step of the way, you do not have to worry about any filings or submission to the city since our team manages all interaction with the Planning & Development Department.
By utilizing our pre-approved 2026 floor plans, we often "by-pass" months of custom architectural review, moving your project straight to the front of the line. Or if you decide on a custom design, we coordinate with the architects and city officials on your behalf to secure all necessary approvals.

Phase 3: Groundbreaking & Construction

35% - upon obtaining permit, 20% - progress payment, 20% - progress payment
Once permits are secured, AzADU takes the lead on-site. As your General Contractor, we coordinate our network of specialized craftsmen and trades to execute the build.
You don’t need to worry about scheduling or quality control—we manage every subcontractor directly to ensure the work meets our high standards for desert-rated durability.

Phase 4: Final Inspection & Handover

10% Upon Certificate of Occupancy
Upon completion of construction, we handle all final city inspections to secure the Certificate of Occupancy for your new ADU.
Our team performs a final walk-through with you to ensure every detail reflects our commitment to quality before we hand over the keys.
